The Canteen Stores Department (CSD), which operates under the Ministry of Defense, has evolved a lot since it started in 1913. It aims to make shopping easy and accessible for its customers. CSD wants to offer a wide range of good quality products and services to as many people across the country as possible. Over the years, CSD has grown from a simple convenience store to a large shopping complex with over 110 outlets. These outlets provide all sorts of shopping needs in one place. CSD takes pride in serving areas where other stores don't reach. Its main focus is to support the welfare of Armed Forces personnel. In the past six years, CSD has been giving a 5% discount to Armed Forces members from its profits. Since 1974, CSD has been running a scheme where people can buy expensive items like cars, motorcycles, refrigerators, TVs, and more on easy installments. CSD is always updating and modernizing its services and is happy to partner with big companies to better serve its customers.
